Golden Arrow LSR Napier Segrave Hand Made Model
The process starts with the blue prints, photographs, and drawings which the resin body and all the metallic parts necessary for the model are based on. Each piece is engraved with the acid method, then cut with scissors, metal shears, or compass saw. they are then hand shaped (by hand or using a hammer) to give them the definitive shape and prepare them for the soldering using the traditional method. The last process is the polishing and finishing details.

Following his record-breaking success with the 1000hp Sunbeam, Henry Segrave announced a new attempt was to be made in an all-new car. The Golden Arrow was designed by J.S. Irving and used a Napier Lion aero-engine of the Special 930bhp Schneider Trophy Type. The twelve cylinders were in a W formation. The car's low line design was achieved by the use of twin propeller shafts each side of the driver. Segrave drove Golden Arrow to a new record of 231.362mph (372.341kph) at Daytona Beach Florida on 11th March 1929.
