French accessory mascot manufactured by L. Brunswick in the 1920's.
Marked: “THE KLEBS” and “L Brunswick”. Featured in “Motoring Mascots of the World” W. C. Williams’s book pg. 227 in the appendix I sculptors and designers section.
Mounted on radiator cap, made of pewter hollow cast, size: 3.25" tall (8 cm.), aging wear, minor scratches).
Part of a collection of 25 automobile mascots (in French “mascotte” or “bouchon de radiateur”) from the 1910's to the 1930's.
